Don’t Cover Your Private Parts!

FIGHT THE URGE to cover your private parts when you speak!!! 🤣 🤣 🤣 Here’s why…

Have you ever seen a speaker covering their private parts?

It’s called the Fig Leaf. Yeah!

Hi, Im Verity from Sold Out Speaker. Where you put your arms when they’re resting, is just as important as where you have them when you’re actually speaking. Now, I’m here at the 2 Day Speaker Bootcamp actually happening right now. Yeheeey! Yeheeey! Exactly! Yeheey! And we have been practicing and practicing and practicing all sorts of skills, of which one is ‘Resting Arms’.

So here’s a quick tip for you. Ideally, you just have them resting at your side or at a 90 degree angle. I like this myself because it’s close to me to be able to gesture. What we want to AVOID doing is clasping or ringing them in front of us. We don’t want to do the Fig Leaf. We don’t want to cross our arms. Because all of these things, they undermine our credibility. They make us look less confident and competent. And we dont want that.

If you want to be able to practice skills and tips like this, then you need to come and join us on the next 2 Day Speaker Bootcamp. And you know what, you can even do that for FREE when you join our 12 Week Smart Speaker Program. It’s fabulous. Absolutely love it. I love training. If you want some information, please pop SSP in the comments below, and we’ll send that right to you, and I look forward to working with you.
